The Fated Event

The Fated Event
Jupiter in Saturn Square

Hello Sagittarius Full Moon! As predicted, it proved to be an intense time leading up to this full moon. At least for me with my natal Jupiter at 21 degrees Pisces. Not only did I have skin cancer surgery (Saturn = Cancer) on my nose (Jupiter = nose), my elbows (Cancer) and knees (Saturn) felt a bit neglected (my natal Saturn is in Cancer). So down I went while chaperoning my kid’s 8th grade trip to the coast. Not to mention I had to find the courage to drive up the winding roads to the ocean outlook. I am not the most courageous person, but Jupiter rules my North Node hence I am forced to practice.

Thankfully, I made it home and was relieved when my husband let me off the hook for driving to Portland for my son’s basketball games. They stayed Saturday night while I hid under the covers for most of the weekend. But just because you hide, doesn’t mean you can escape life.

On Sunday, I got a call from my son who told me that our car had been broken into while they were having lunch at Denny’s between basketball games. The thieves smashed both passenger windows and stole my son’s overnight bag which had his cherished Christmas gifts in it. I had finally relented and got my son a game console this past Christmas, using my business credit card points to afford it. His basketball shoes and his favorite Oregon sweatshirt, a gift from his grandmother, were stolen too. I attribute the theft to the Mars - Uranus square. My husband has Mars in Leo right on the Midheaven in his Solar Return chart this year. He also has his nodes at 24 degrees Leo-Aquarius near my Aquarius Sun and my Son’s Aquarius Moon.

The gift of Jupiter in Pisces is that when you practice seeing from the Jupiterian perspective, you realize how fortunate you are in the grand scheme of things. Yes, I got cancer. But I got the best kind you can get. My nose will now have a scar, but I am probably the only one who will even notice it. All of the scrapes and bruises will heal. Our car will get fixed. My son is generally a happy and grateful kid (I will trade a Pisces moon for an Aquarius moon any day 😄). He’s bummed, but not overly so. This too shall pass.

These past few months I’ve had moments of blissful happiness even while feeling existential dread for our future. I catch myself getting wound up about what’s happening, addicted to searching the latest news headlines. Last year, I deleted all of my social accounts on my phone except for Mastodon. I had stopped reading the news a long while back so I don’t have access to any news apps. But I have recently found myself searching news headlines on Google multiple times a day. I realize my mind’s getting hijacked once again, but I don’t blame myself or make myself feel guilty about it. That’s useless and it just makes the cycle worse. So I watch myself in awareness until I feel ready to address it.

Sometimes I think I might need to take a step back and stop focusing on Mundane Astrology altogether. I never planned to take this route and it’s not something I’ve specialized in. But Jupiterian lessons are about zooming out and taking a broader view. Looking at world events from an astrological perspective is one way to practice. Saturn shifting into Aries will most likely help with my boundary setting, which I look forward to. I have Jupiter in Pisces and Saturn in Cancer so boundaries have never come naturally to me. I tend to overcompensate so finding that Libra balance is a lifetime practice.

I recorded an update about the Saturn and Jupiter square in case you are interested in viewing it. Like the video I recorded late last year, I look at the past cycle but from different angles. There’s a bit on Trump and Musk’s chart along with the United States' Sibley chart. I anticipated the Musk drama in my previous update, but I didn’t anticipate the California showdown. When you look at Gavin Newsom’s chart it all starts to make more sense.

The outcome of this battle will be a defining moment for State Sovereignty. Like I mentioned in my previous post, it’s all about power and possession. Trump will always push for more power and people have not fared well in underestimating how far he will go to get it. The transits favor this push, but there may be some surprises in store. Remember, he is Uranian and Uranus always surprises. Astrology never ceases to amaze me.
