Plutonic Cycles

Looking back, the Cancer New Moon chart perfectly described the precarious balancing act of negotiating a ceasefire with Iran after the surprise bomb attack threatened to push us into World War III. I think we all breathed a collective sigh of relief even if some of us were skeptical about the longer term impacts of this surprise attack.
But a mere two days later as the Moon opposed Pluto, the mood turned dark once again for many of us here in the United States. This was the day the Supreme Court granted the President the power to deport naturalized citizens without due process while the administration challenged birth right citizenship in the courts. This ruling also limited the court's ability to apply injunctions broadly. So even if the Supreme Court later rules in opposition to the President’s unilateral executive actions, it may be a little too late for some.
If you track the connections of this month’s opening Sun-Moon square to last year’s Libra eclipse, this ruling should come as little surprise. It was during this eclipse that the Supreme Court granted the President immunity from prosecution for anything related to his Presidency. But it still shocked and dismayed me, robbing me of the little faith I had in the Supreme Court. I’m not sure why I had such faith to begin with, but I see my own Jupiter-Neptune disillusionment playing out. I never thought in a million years that the United States could sink this low and still with no view to the bottom.
You may remember me mentioning that we would hear from Musk again. His zodiacal releasing chart suggested he would be letting go of an important relationship on July 1st, so I had an inkling that his feud with the President was not over. If you recall my analysis of his human design chart, you’ll remember that he will only take an inferior position if he’s included in the material process. Once he’s not included, he will rebel.
And sure enough when Mercury opposed Pluto on the 29th with Mars inching closer to his moon, he started to post about the President’s budget bill once again. He even threatened to primary senators who voted for it and to start his own political party if they passed it. On the 30th, when the bill was passed in the senate and after the President threatened to DOGE him, Tesla’s stock fell. Mars was exactly conjunct his Moon and the Moon was conjunct his Pluto. He directly personifies the train wreck described in the New Moon chart, a great example of an unconscious 3/5 profile. He’s the richest man in the world and yet he seems to be the most miserable, his own delusional grasping for control. Since he has Mars in Aquarius, in the gate of Revolution, we have definitely not heard the last from him.
Uranus Ingresses into Gemini
On July the 7th, the day of the Uranus ingress into Gemini, the President will host Netanyahu for the third time this year. The day that this visit was announced, five hundred million in arms sales were approved for Israel. It was pointed out to me recently that Israel has its natal Uranus in Gemini just like the United States does. It will be the first Uranus return for Israel while it will be the third for the United States. Separately, it was pointed out to me that Israel has a lot of out-of-bounds planets in its nativity. The Moon, Mercury, Venus, Uranus and Pluto were all out-of-bounds when Israel became a country. It makes a lot of sense based on the historical context, but it makes me wonder about the long term stability of the country.

Out-of-bounds planets describe an unconventional and sometimes extreme expression of the energies of that planet. Israel has experienced very brief periods of peace since its founding. The United States itself was formed with three planets out-of-bounds: Venus, Mars, and Pluto. Our founding came after a Revolutionary War and we have a history of violence both within the country and abroad.
Netanyahu was born when Venus and Uranus were out-of-bounds and our President was born when Mercury and Pluto were out-of-bounds. I mention this, because Pluto will go out-of-bounds in August and Uranus will join in 2031. This is the first time Pluto has gone out-of-bounds since World War II. Pluto out-of-bounds coincides with intense periods of war and political unrest. Pluto will continue to go out-of-bounds for 2-3 months a year until 2035 and will not go out-of-bounds again for the foreseeable future.
What will happen during this final out-of-bounds period? Is this the “closing of the door” as Ra Uru Hu describes it - will we graduating to a new level of peaceful co-existence? A positive spin on this period is that Pluto will be out-of-bounds to the South instead of the North like it was during World War II. The astrologer Rosie Flinn found in her research that Pluto out-of-bounds to the South brings power to the people rather than power to dictators. This is consistent with the positive manifestation of Pluto in Aquarius.
But first it seems we need to be pushed to the extremes of the other side. This fits the narrative of seeing from the other side of the wheel. Like the Neptune-Saturn cycle we are now experiencing in Aries as opposed to Libra which also coincided with the end of World War II. Uranus will join Pluto out-of-bounds in 2031 when it is at the very end of Gemini. Pluto will be smack dab in the middle of Aquarius during this time. That seems to be a likely transition period toward the positive manifestation of Pluto in Aquarius. Whether the outcome is positive or negative, we’ve definitely entered a very intense time period in our world’s history.
Capricorn Full Moon
So let’s talk about this Capricorn Full Moon on July the 10th. The moon is still out-of-bounds and the chart is heavy on earth and water. So while emotions are high, we are practically minded. We are on the cardinal cross which centers on the themes of tribalism, family, duty, and honor. This full moon is about the beginning or ending of certain cycles related to tribal ambition.

This is the 2nd of 3 “cusp” full moons before the full moon eclipse in September. According to human design, these full moons are considered bridges to the other side. The first one was the Sagittarius Full Moon which was conjunct the President’s natal full moon. It was on the Fixed Cross of Possession, “it’s all mine, everything’s mine”. This full moon is near his natal Saturn which is intercepted in his 11th house. It’s on the Fixed Cross of Beginnings. This is what Ra says about this cross:
This is the kid in the schoolyard that says: on your mark, get set, go. And everybody runs and they don’t. They’ll line up with you; they‟ll sucker you in—all right, let‟s have a race; everybody ready? All right, on your mark, get set, go. And everybody runs and that kid is standing still. They start your day. They start your life. They start your engine. They’re the ones that are just here to say, look, I don‟t care, just don‟t sit still you idiot, do something. It’s the exact opposite of logic. This is life, go out there and live your life.
You can tell that when you have somebody who is really strong here and they have a friend that has suffered a loss, a death in the family, this is the person that will come up to them and say, ah, get over it, get on with your life. Get going. Life is nothing but new beginnings. Stop lamenting. The lover you lost, the dog you lost, forget all that; it’s gone. A new beginning, everything is fresh, let’s go, let’s go, keep moving, keep moving; pushy, pushy, pushy.
It reminds me of the callousness of our leadership right now, parading cruel and inhumane solutions gleefully. You can also see this in the ways that international conflict is being negotiated right now. Very Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune. A mix of delusion and cold practicality.
I want to point out that there is a mystic rectangle between Mars, the Nodes, and the full Moon. With Mars co-ruling the ascendent and on the Midheaven of the Full Moon chart placed in Washington DC. It highlights the various overseas conflicts, trade, and immigration wars that the U.S. has been leading or taking a leadership role in. It also highlights the horrific medicaid cuts in favor of permanent tax cuts for the wealthiest. This will add trillions to our national debt and lead to broader entitlement cuts at a later date. This mystic rectangle is about effectively managing the tension between public sentiment and governmental responsibility especially as it relates to the economic practicality of these conflicts. Again, Very Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune. A mix of delusion and cold practicality.
The full moon on the financial axis of this chart speaks to the weight of responsibility of our leadership role in the world. Our selfish actions not only impact our own country’s health and wealth, but the health and wealth of the world. We’ll eventually experience the negative impact of our actions to cut off aid and health services both in the outer world and in the United States. People mimic the examples we set. If there is fraud, apathy, and abuse at the top, it will certainly trickle down and out despite our best efforts to blame the other.
Yuval Noah speaks to this in relation to how independent AI agents will respond. Like little children, they mimic our behavior and no amount of “information” we feed it will change that. Where we find ourselves now will simply be amplified 1000x. At least we have been forewarned, but will that change our current trajectory? I’m expecting we’ll need a collective shock first. Too many people are still mesmerized by the delusions of a Magician.
It has been challenging to maintain my optimism this month, but as I mentioned in my recent review of the U.S.A Sibley chart it's important that we each work past our pessimism and fear to take back our power. We are all being called to do deep inward work during this time. What values are worth fighting for in our own lives? How can we simplify our own lives so we can become less dependent on the current power structures? As Yuval points out, it is through our example that we can provide the most impact.
Despite the somberness of this full moon, it has a lot of supportive energy and will make the path smooth sailing for this next phase, shifting us easily into the direction we are already heading, for better or worse. It’s important that we all focus on creating our own visions for the future. What do you personally want to contribute during this time period? How do you want to see things play out in the world, but most importantly in your own life? Who is your tribe and how can you nurture each other during this difficult time? We desperately need more people contributing a vision that is more positively energizing and life sustaining.
