Pisces Full Moon Eclipse

Did you feel a quickening of energy around the Virgo New Moon? I certainly felt the increasing intensity with my Natal Moon in early Pisces. The day before the new moon, I started to experience a cluster migraine which laid me out for the better part of the weekend. I usually only get migraines once or twice a year, but I’ve had a series of them lately and each time, I am reminded to center myself back into my body. As a Pisces dominant person, it is easy for me to get lost in the chaos that is happening in the world. I feel other people’s suffering as if it were my own. So I have to continue to surrender, release the chaos that is "out there" and relax into the now. I am safe. I am secure. It might not always be so, but it is my reality right now at this moment.
As I mentioned in my Virgo New Moon Letter, this New Moon was a preemptive strike, a collective warning to wake up. Whatever warnings we received during this new moon will reach a climax during the eclipse. Since Uranus will station retrograde the day before, something unexpected or disruptive will likely push us out of our comfort zone and move us further into the future.
The Pluto-Uranus Activation
This Pisces Full Moon Eclipse is aspecting the Pluto-Uranus conjunction of the 1960s. A theme this conjunction confronts is the idea that productivity is the salvation for oppression. In the United States, it has to do with the “American Dream”. We were all led to believe that if our corporations were more productive, we would be more successful as a nation. In this mythology, if you were a good student and a hard worker you had the potential to rise up from your station.
But over the last few decades, it has become increasingly more difficult for this dream to manifest into reality, especially for the minorities in our country. And lately we’ve begun to question whether productivity and material success actually relates to our overall health and happiness. Productivity as a means to an end without considering the purpose or the spirit of each individual is meaningless. Not only that, but creating addictive mechanisms to keep people in a consumerist loop is creating a very unhealthy society.
And now with the Pluto-Uranus trine, we are forced to reckon with the late stage unraveling and dismantling of our current capitalistic structure, which has been the centerpiece of this “American Dream” mythology. This theory of productivity, fueling our success after World War II, worked when our monetary system was tied more directly to the material. This one-to-one connection started to break down shortly after the conjunction with the Nixon Shock, a series of policies that included the decoupling of gold and the dollar.
This slow dismantling coincided with the rise of Tech and the increasing revenue share of non-tangible items. Since then, we have seen the rise of multi-national corporations, de-regulation, tax shelters, and crypto currencies. More and more the world’s resources are being hoarded by a few in a closed loop of increasing growth at the expense of everyone else. And now we are being seduced by the idea that the new “productivity” saviors will be AI, crypto, more de-regulation, tariffs, and authoritarianism. When in fact these things have and will continue to increase inequality in the world.
The politicians are trying to divert our attention from this reality by scapegoating other people. In the past, we’ve only leveled the playing field with mass casualty events like The Great Depression or World War II. During this eclipse, the top-of-mind question is whether we can avoid this reality when everything seems to be pointing in this direction. Can we collectively wake up and come up with a better solution? Or will we remain asleep while those in charge keep pushing us into this likely scenario? Either way, whatever happens during this eclipse has a chance to mutate the collective. I'm hopeful it's for the better.
The Pisces Full Moon Eclipse Chart
You can see that this chart located in Washington D.C. closely resembles the U.S. Sibley chart. The Pisces Full Moon Eclipse squares the Ascendent-Descendent, symbolizing the country's crossroads between a "free-market liberal democracy" and an old school authoritarian tribal leadership.

Most planets are on the right hand side of this chart moving toward the South Node, which makes the energy of the South Node even stronger than it usually is. In Human Design, the South Node is located in a mental gate, the gate symbolizing oppression. The degree is about ambition. It’s about overcoming personal oppression in order to achieve security. The focus is on activity and the pursuit of money making to achieve happiness. But it’s the hoarding of money; it’s not the spending of money. It’s this idea that the more money I accumulate, the more power I can yield, therefore the less oppressed I feel. But this energy can also lead to indecisiveness. It brings with it serious business miscalculations. There is an indecisiveness as to whether to “apply intelligence to recovery from oppression or to accept the weight of it and to take advantage of other prevailing conditions that may be temporary.” I think this is why we are not seeing more leaders rise up. Will they be caught off guard by this eclipse?

Even though the South Node is stronger than usual, the North Node is where we are headed with the Moon applying to the North Node. The North Node is in gate 22 located in the emotional center and it's about social openness or not. The degree describes "an ability to successfully delude oneself and others with more style than substance". It reminds me of the overhype of AI. We have been deluded by the veneer of something much shinier than what's actually beneath the surface. And this administration has been putting on a show, releasing one executive order after another as if these orders were law. But do these orders actually have any substance? Not only that but do these orders have any strategic cohesion and will they contribute to a healthy, functioning society?
The Full Moon sits in the 3rd - 9th house axis of this chart. It’s about our beliefs vs. our actions; hypocrisy: do as I say, not as I do. It’s about our laws vs. the implementation of those laws; our allies overseas and our neighboring states at home. It’s about trade, transit, and communication. The Full Moon is on the Human Design Cross of Dominion. It’s describing the transition between using education as a tool of influence vs. using values identification. In the United States, we have fully transitioned between the use of sophisticated thought leadership in politics to a movement toward a more extreme form of identity politics. More and more people are waking up to this.
Mercury is in a tight aspect with this eclipse, on the South Node side. It’s in Virgo, in the Human Design gate 40, hanging off the ego center. It's about deliverance in aloneness and it's on a degree describing rigidity. It describes the tendency to become very rigid in the process of purging negative forces. There is a need to claim absolute victory. The thought process: if we can purge all negative forces and keep accumulating more power and wealth, we can finally feel secure.
Mars is one of the few planets that is headed toward the North Node and it’s separating from a square to Jupiter. In early mythology, Jupiter was closely connected with the war god Mars. But rather than taking an active part in battles, Jupiter was thought to oversee and control them. Jupiter is in the 8th house of this chart, focusing on the financial relationships with other countries. It’s in Cancer, in gate 53, the gate of cyclical beginnings. Think about the fertility symbolized by Cancer. One of the ways Jupiter seeks growth is through new beginnings. At this degree, it describes an over-assertiveness that, “rather than applied to maintaining support in the face of opposition and isolation, may actually strengthen the opposing forces by its attitude.”
Mars on the other hand is in the 10th house in Libra, in gate 57, which is about splenic intuition. At this degree, there’s a tendency “toward anger and frustration when clarity points to a problem one is unable to solve”. This anger can inspire ultimately futile actions. Mars is just past the President’s own Jupiter at 17 degrees Libra. Trump lives by his intuitive responses which seems to fluctuate from day to day. He's a sleight-of-hand magician and can usually distract people easily with his chaos while waiting for the right opportunity to pounce. Jupiter is in a trine relationship to the North Node. There is an eagerness to assert oneself in a new direction despite the fact that the direction may be just an illusion. He's been courting Putin, but so far Putin has evaded him.
Venus is also in the 8th house just past Jupiter, in Leo. It’s in the Human Design gate 7, hanging off the identity center. This gate is about the role of the self and determining what patterns will lead us into the future. And it’s at the degree that describes anarchy. This is a rejection of any institutionalized order with a constant need for change no matter what the prevailing conditions. It forms an inconjunct with the North Node and a sesquiquadrate with Neptune. This implies an adjustment that needs to be made with regards to our ideals and future direction.
Warnings for the United States
We have experienced so many escalation in the past few weeks, it's challenging tease out the top three. Aside from the conflicts that have been escalating abroad, these recent warnings have been on my mind:
- FEMA sent out an alarm that we may face a Katrina like event with similar consequences in emergency response because of recent budget cuts. We have also weakened many other important institutions, like the NIH, which will affect our ability to respond to any new pandemics. And the cuts to our intelligence puts us at risk for cyberattacks and attacks to our energy grid and infrastructure.
- The latest attack on the Federal Reserve with the firing of Lisa Cook further destabilizes the economy just as we are starting to see the impacts of tariffs on inflation. This destabilization is compounded by our rising debt, the current AI bubble, and the introduction of the Genius Act which introduces a lot of risk into the entire monetary system.
- The recent escalation of threats to send ICE and the National Guard into Democratic states.
If you take into consideration all of the above and the outer planets connecting the 2nd, 3rd, and 6th houses, any of these three events are possible. All bets are off with Uranus involved, but the affect of Eclipses are lingering so we may see something unexpected the days around the Eclipse while these other events may take additional time to develop. The affects of Lunar Eclipses are said to linger from two to six months, while the affects of a Solar Eclipses last for six months to a year. You can track the Eclipse degrees as sensitive hotspots for timing.
And what we can do is take action in our own communities. There is another "No Kings" Labor Day protest happening around the country. Get involved in any way that you can. We still do have power to shape the direction of our communities. We need to prepare ourselves for this new reality without living in a constant state of fear. All we know for sure is that we cannot rely on the government to function in the ways that we are used to it functioning. We have to prepare ourselves to adapt accordingly.
The good news is that whatever unexpected news or event that comes out during this time is something that should unite us rather than divide us. Remember, Pluto will be out-of-bounds to the south during this eclipse. According to Rosanne Finn, this should lead to more public protests against the current abuses of power. I hope it is so and I hope for everyone’s sake it is non-violent.
