Living from a Higher Frequency
I wrote the original post I'm pasting below on December 22, 2020 as Jupiter and Saturn were separating from a conjunction at zero degrees Aquarius. It was about a year after I started studying astrology intensely, experimenting with creative ideas that eventually became this brand.
Now that Jupiter and Saturn are applying to an opening square, I have suddenly felt an intense urge to revisit this idea and to lean more fully into it. As Neptune has been traveling the last degree of Pisces this year, I have been in the process of letting go of things I had been clinging to for safety. One of these things has been the marketing career I have had since 2006.
When I relaunched this website at the beginning of 2024, I initially thought I could hang onto my marketing business simply utilizing my obsession with astrology to differentiate myself. But as the months wore on, I realized the market had so fundamentally changed that I'd have to invest all of my energy just to hold onto it. That was something I couldn't do. I didn't love it enough. Especially with A.I. coming in to suck out the last remaining drops of creativity left.
So here I am with this idea again circling around in my head. What can I say about living from a higher frequency? This is what I wrote about it in 2020:
Let me first address what it doesn’t mean. The main goals are not focused on feeling good or living an outwardly prosperous life. It doesn’t mean living from a place of artificial positivity, ignoring or repressing what does not fit into our chosen narrative. It does not mean becoming passive or hiding from the dark or negative energies of the world. It doesn’t pine for perfection and it doesn’t seek some arrival point of angelic becoming. It’s definitely not wed to any religious or spiritual movement, especially where division is encouraged.
To me, it is a commitment to seeing things as they are, the shadow and the light, and then, actively choosing to feed the higher frequencies. What are higher frequencies, exactly? It can be described as the frequency of “love”, but this term is deficient, because it’s not the kind of love that we generally refer to in everyday life. It is seeing the truth of everything with a commitment to peering past the exterior layer and into the essence. It is embracing the unity of all things: harmonizing the opposites, blending towards a point of unity. It’s about the journey and the journey has no ending point.
When we live from a higher frequency, our inner life is congruent with our outer life. Our work aligns with our nature, passion, and purpose. We understand that we have to align our inner selves with the energies we desire to attract. We value our community in all of its diversity, and we believe and uphold the equality of all human beings. We are committed to make all of our interactions relational and not transactional.
When you make the shift to living from a higher frequency, your work becomes a natural extension of this commitment. If you run a business or manage a department, this energy shines forth in everything you do. Your goals align with your purpose and you attract the people who will help you fulfill your purpose. It is not possible to fail, because failure doesn’t exist in this frequency. Everything belongs. You may even start to experience an endless array of seeming synchronicities, but this is just because you are in the flow of your life’s work. More importantly, your life is full of people and experiences that level you up for the next phase of your journey.
Since I strongly believe life is a continuous exploration, I will be expanding and fine tuning my thoughts on this topic as I dream this next phase of my life into reality. I welcome your feedback and I’m excited to share more of my journey with you.
Have I been living in this high frequency since I wrote about it in 2020? No, I have not. I have mostly cycled in and out of it, sometimes for way too long. I have been experimenting with the polarities, seeing more of my shadow and the many ways we project on others while hiding parts of ourselves. I have been mutating. I have been healing. I have returned better each time. They say it's a spiral and if you give it enough force, you can move into a higher octave. Commitment to the process is needed if ever one hopes to eventually get there. I return.
