Libra New Moon Letter

This new moon in Libra is the first of a series of six new moons at the 28th degree which will carry us through the next series of eclipses and the Saturn - Neptune conjunction in Aries next February. You could say these new moons are helping us embrace the final shedding of the last Saturn - Neptune cycle in Capricorn, to tie up loose ends before we start a new Saturn - Neptune cycle in Aries.
The 28th degree is a Cancer degree, while the 29th degree is a Leo degree. So we are moving through the Moon (our emotional processing, our daily habits, and our sense of security) to the Sun (our ego identification, our life force, and our soul’s purpose). Both Cancer and Leo have been major themes this year with the Mars retrograde starting in Leo and moving into Cancer and Jupiter set to retrograde in Cancer on November 11th, also carrying us through the next set of Eclipses before it shifts to Leo in June.
The Sabian Symbol
The Sabian symbol for this degree is about “humanity seeking to bridge the span of knowledge between the generations”. If you think about some of our world leaders, they were born when Pluto was in Leo at the end of World War 2, when Nato was originally formed, and Israel became a nation. Around the same time, we started a new Saturn-Neptune cycle in Libra.
In my last video, I spoke about our evolutionary journey from a generational point of view and how each generation is interacting with Pluto in Aquarius. As far as the sacred theme about passing down knowledge, I want to focus on the Pluto in Leo generation.
As we prepare to move into a new cycle, we are granted these opportunities to see life from alternative points of view. These opportunities are precious moments in our evolutionary journey, and how we respond to them will determine our ascension or repetition of a cycle. The Pluto in Leo generation was the generation that brought about social change during the 60’s. But how did they evolve as they got older? Do their values remain as prescient today as they were back then? Or did something shift? Did their values change? By the number of older adults I see protesting, there are many in this generation who still hold firm the values they fought for when they were younger. They are thankfully passing on their lived example to the younger generations so they too can take up the baton.
If you are in the Pluto in Leo generation, what is the most important thing you want to leave behind? What memories do you think will be valuable to share so that the next generation can thrive? With the power innate in the Mercury-Mars conjunction in Scorpio during this new moon, this is a great time to focus that creative energy toward making a difference.
The White Knight’s Moon
I love this description of the Libra New Moon by Raven Kaldera as she describes the challenge of the scales very well. If you are a Pluto in Libra generation or you have a predominance of Libra in your chart, you may recognize this movement and you might be the ones who resonate so clearly with this opposite side of the wheel concept I’ve been harping on for a bit:
Libra is the sign of the Scales, and these continually swing back and forth, trying to find balance. On one side of those scales is the influence of Venus, and the Venus aspect of Libra wants things to be harmonious, loving, and beautiful; is invested in aesthetics; and doesn’t like conflict. On the other side is the Air element, windy and contentious, that wants abstract justice at all costs.
On the White Knight’s Moon we reexamine our ideals. Are they still serviceable and proven? Do we have them as keepsakes of a more naive time, but don’t really believe them? Do we actually hold to them? Have we been disillusioned, and how did that happen? Are we willing to fight for what we believe in, even if no one else believes it?
New Moon Chart Delineation
So let’s move onto a more specific delineation of this chart, located in Washington D.C.

The New Moon sits in the 12th house of this chart. It’s on the Human Design “Cross of Laws”. This line describes a new beginning where we see people rise up to support the law. It’s where the politicization of the law starts. In other words, it’s the “Magna Carta”: similar to the “No Kings” national protests which will be happening a few days prior to this New Moon. It appears that this new beginning is largely behind the scenes perhaps with some hidden agendas as well. Netanyahu has his birthday on this New Moon, but he was born on a slightly different line with a different theme.
Remember, Mars was the finger of God between the Saturn-Neptune conjunction and Uranus during the Libra Ingress (which was also the beginning of Rosh Hashanah). Then Mercury replaced Mars during the Full Moon in Aries (this was during the negotiations of a peace deal between Israel and Hamas), and now we have the New Moon forming a finger of God between Neptune in the 5th house and Uranus in the 7th.
The New Moon is separating from a square to Jupiter in the 9th house and applying a square to Pluto in the 3rd house. The symbolism seems to suggest that fragile adjustments are being carried out between the Israel and Hamas ceasefire, Israel’s withdrawal from Palestine, and the realities of the rebuilding effort. The symbolism can also speak to a shift of our attention away from the struggles abroad to a budding crisis at home.
This New Moon rules the Midheaven and is in turn ruled by an exalted Venus in Libra in the 11th house. Venus (which can symbolize recent diplomatic efforts) sits in Human Design gate 18, the gate of correction but in the 6th line, labeled the buddha line, so it's an objective and non-biased correction.
The Ascendent is ruled by Mars which sits in the 1st house in Scorpio and Mercury in Scorpio is separated from Mars by merely minutes. If you watched my Pluto stationing direct video, you’ll remember that Mercury was applying to Mars. Mercury reaches the same degree as Mars on October 20th, the day before this New Moon. It seems to suggest there may be a hiccup in the ceasefire between the station and this new moon.
Mercury and Mars can be quite contentious as a pair, but not necessarily so. Mars paired with Mercury confronts issues head on and often with no filter between thought and action. People born with this signature have a powerful command of language. They are born debaters and orators.
Charlie Kirk, a Libra Sun, had a Mars-Mercury conjunction in Scorpio and on steroids because it includes Pluto. Interestingly, Zohran Mumdani, also a Libra Sun, has a similar Mercury-Mars conjunction in Scorpio, although without Pluto in the mix.
Both held widely different views, yet they both share this signature. This signature makes them both powerful communicators. Stephen Miller also has a Mercury - Mars conjunction but his conjunction is in Leo. I just launched a video about Stephen Miller’s shared signature with Charlie Kirk and why some people see Paul Goebbels work in Stephen Miller.
This Mercury-Mars conjunction in the 1st house describes a powerful, aggressive, and highly focused assertiveness expressed through sharp, persuasive, and critical communication. There will likely be deep-seated power struggles or attempts to gain financial control. This can be related to the Israel - Hamas ceasefire, but domestically we are already seeing the outlines of this with the government shutdown and the incendiary comments about lunatic Democrats and "the enemy within".
We have seen aggressive politicized rhetorical attacks coming from this administration, blaming Democrats for the shutdown. There has also been an escalation in the administration seemingly eager to create a false flag as a way to gain even more power. But I’m curious if we will see a larger shift within the Democratic party between the Full Moon and New Moon which will be more impactful. As of yet, there have only been one or two voices in the Democratic party who have broken through the noise.
With a separating trine to the North Node and applying trine to Jupiter in the 9th house, the nation's intense drives and communications are likely to be successfully directed towards the themes involving other countries, international trade, the legal system, and cultural and educational matters. The emphasis on security in foreign or legal matters brings ease, luck, and successful expansion. This could suggest favorable legal rulings, successful international treaties, or a strong defense of national interests.
But note that Jupiter is also applying to a square to Chiron in the 6th house. So there’s definitely a potential for over-promising or over-expanding (Jupiter) on the international stage, only to have that optimism clash with the gritty, painful reality of a domestic labor or health crisis (Chiron). The collective feels the pain of inadequacy (Chiron) when its national ideals (Jupiter) are tested by internal failures. This indicates there may be some blowback with our investment in the Gaza reconstruction efforts, especially as we are struggling with our economy at home.
Health Themes
Regarding the health themes suggested in this chart, I found some interesting patterns related to the Jupiter and Chiron signature. Obamacare was first signed into law when Neptune and Chiron were conjunct at the 27th and 28th degree of Aquarius in 2010. Note that Saturn was at 1 degrees Libra during that time so Obamacare is experiencing its Saturn opposition with Neptune in tow.

The health care subsidies, however, were not approved until 2014 and at that time Jupiter in Cancer was in a trine relationship with Chiron in Pisces. Hygieia was at 1 degree Taurus conjunct the South Node.
The last time Jupiter squared Chiron was on December 8, 2019. This was the day of the onset of the first 41 people who were tested and later confirmed positive for COVID-19. Jupiter was at 1 degree Capricorn and Chiron was at 1 degree Aries. Transiting Uranus conjunct Hygieia, an asteroid symbolizing health, while the North Node conjunct Jupiter in the subsidy chart.
The current Jupiter square Chiron perfects a couple of days after this New Moon and now Hygieia is forming a conjunction with the North Node of the last Jupiter Chiron square and Uranus is once again forming a conjunction with Hygieia now in Gemini. Neptune is now retrograde, opposing the Eclipse degree. Remember, one of the Eclipse’s themes was about health.
There are a couple of astrologers I follow who say we’ll likely have a repeat of the pandemic in the President’s second term because as Anne Ortlee says “Geminis always have to do things twice”, I did hear there was a resurgence of the bird flu recently. But this may just be related to the government shut down in relation to the subsidy fight.
I’m also wondering if this has to do with RFK’s position in general. His Mercury was trine the eclipse degree. His destiny is tied to the topics of health with such a heavy 6th and 12th house axis including the Nodes, both mental and physical health. You also see the powerful impact Covid had on his life with all of those planets lining up in his 6th house. He was also experiencing a reverse nodal return during this time.

If you look a little closer at RFK's chart, you'll notice he has natal Hygieia and Uranus conjunct his South Node and Chiron and Venus conjunct his North Node. The transiting Jupiter-Chiron square is creating a t-square in his chart with transiting Jupiter conjunct the natal South Node and Hygieia squaring Chiron in his 10th house. Not only that, transiting Venus is coming to oppose transiting Chiron.
The President has also been experiencing his own personal health issues. When the subsidies were signed into law, he was nearing a Jupiter - Saturn conjunction which came up once again as Pluto went direct on the 13th. This conjunction squares his natal Jupiter-Chiron conjunction in his 2nd house. During the last Jupiter-Chiron square, the North Node conjunct his own Mercury in Cancer. He was the messenger who fought the CDC and the WHO recommendations, but he also eventually got Covid. Now Hygieia is coming to meet his Mercury. Chiron has been traveling over his own natal Hygieia with the last conjunction happening in March, around the time people started talking about the bruising on his hands.

Will the administration grant an extension to the healthcare subsidies or will they let them lapse? Is there another pandemic coming? Will the programs Kennedy is dissolving affect the response rates to another crisis? Is the president’s personal health a concern?
These topics are all intertwined, but the patterns are all pointing to a big health crisis ahead. And the Nodes are shifting on November 3rd, right before the Taurus full moon, relating to themes of doubt and confusion on the horizon. Not that we don’t have plenty of that right now.
