Jupiter Return: Midlife Transits

After the tumultuousness of your Uranus opposition and Saturn opposition, you get a bit of a break with your 4th Jupiter return which happens during your 48th year. Jupiter returns are considered seeding points as you simultaneously experience your 12th house profection year during a Jupiter return. To understand this from a biological perspective, I was pregnant with my 1st and only child during my 3rd Jupiter return. It’s literally a time to birth (12th house) something new (1st house).
“Jupiter's return to its natal place should always be regarded as potentially key developmental phases. Especially the conjunction, which liberates vast new energies for self-improvement, should never be overlooked; for it is a time of committing oneself to a new vision of the future, whether that entails a major change from the past or merely a relatively subtle adjustment of one's previous attitudes and expectations about the meaning of life. The conjunction of Jupiter to Jupiter is a key period of reorientation based on one's ideals and visions of the future. A renewal of faith (in life, self, God, truth, or one's ideals), and a clearer perception of one's life direction based on that faith, is perhaps the best outcome of a Jupiter transit to Jupiter.” -Stephen Arroyo, Exploring Jupiter
During this Jupiter return, my family moved across the country once again. As we drove to NYC prior to driving across the country to our new home, I flew to Sweden to attend a human design conference. During that visit, I met in person my human design twin whom I later started the Heretic Sisters podcast in partnership. I also started a couple of human design courses which led to a few challenging but needed breakthroughs later that year.
Jupiter expands anything it touches and sometimes that growth can lead to indulgent excess and waste. Too much of anything can create a restrictive backlash if you are not careful. After this trip, I found myself planning another overseas trip thinking it was my destiny to continue my exploration. Neptune happened to be transiting with Jupiter during this Jupiter return and when that veil lifted I fell hard on my face as my reality started to shift. I not only did not make that trip but lost a bit of my dwindling savings on the way. My partner lost his job and we found out we had to move once again. It ended up being a very rough year after all that growth, but I am thankful that we found a better house and I’ve experienced many blessings along the way.
