There were a whole bunch of astrologers in my YouTube feed saying June would be a relatively quiet month. Say what? Uranus squares the Nodes? Trump’s birthday with a UFC fight on the White House lawn during a New Moon in Gemini? Venus in Leo opposing Pluto in Aquarius? Oh, hell no. 😄
I had so much to talk about this month, I had to separate my Uranus square the Nodes episode from my New Moon episode, which I'm transcribing here. If you haven’t watched that video, it focuses on AI, and specifically Musk’s IPO which launches today. It speaks to Chiron as the technological bridge from the known to the unknown. Iran threatening Musk’s infrastructure in the Middle East after I published that video adds a little color to my analysis.
Trump’s Solar Return
Trump’s Solar Return falls in the dark of the Gemini Moon, the night before. This Balsamic Moon is called the Teacher’s Moon by Raven Kaldera.
It illustrates the end of Gemini’s forward-and-backward dance with truth. This Balsamic Moon is about paring down, and deciding which knowledge he has gathered is worth passing on, and to whom - Raven Kaldera
His Solar Return chart is mutable and western hemisphere focused. He will be adapting to disruptions with his allies and known enemies this year. Both the Moon and Mercury are out-of-bounds again with Mercury’s declination even steeper than last year and the Moon’s declination shifting south. Expect his emotional instability and inflammatory rhetoric to increase this year.
Trump has his natal Pluto out-of-bounds in the natal 12th house. This signature can symbolize a native’s belief in their own fantasy narrative about the world. Especially when Pluto is out-of-bounds. It’s similar to the hyperstition quote I referred to in my last video: this belief that if you act as if it’s true, it eventually becomes true. This does work sometimes and it most certainly will work if you control the prevailing narrative like a dictator or a ruling class. That’s the power of the word, the power of manifesting energy. If you repeat it enough and it’s absorbed by the collective, it can eventually come true. But certain narratives aren’t working for Trump so which ones will he drop and which ones will he cling to. If he is experiencing the onset of dementia, will he have a choice?
If you look at his Natal chart as compared to his Solar Return chart, you see that he’s bringing his Lunar Eclipse energies to his 1st and 7th houses. The 7th house is not only about relationships, but it is often related to the ending of things, as the Sun dips below the horizon on the cusp of the 7th house. With Uranus right on the Descendent his endings will surely come with a bang, not a whimper.
Trump is bringing his 10th house themes to the 6th and 7th houses. The Moon in Gemini is separating from Uranus on the Descendent and applying to his Sun in Gemini. As mentioned, his main focus is likely to be on his relationships, which will bring chaos and disruptions, and most likely abrupt endings. It seems he is trying to provoke such an ending by his latest attacks on Iran.
Mercury, ruler of the Moon and the 7th house, is in mutual reception in Cancer in the 8th house. He has Cancer intercepted in his natal 11th house, which is where he is most challenged. He brings these challenges to the 8th house of financial partnerships, karmic debts, and themes around death and mortality.
Mercury is conjunct his design Saturn, in a line implying he may be unconsciously provoking conflict this year. Venus, ruler of the 6th and 11th houses, separates from Jupiter in the eighth house, ruler of the 1st and 4th houses, applying to an opposition with Pluto in the 2nd house. He will likely have to confront powerful financial and health issues this year. We will see this theme play out within days of this solar return as he has confirmed his attendance at the G7 conference in France just as Venus will perfect its opposition with Pluto.
Venus and Jupiter are in gate 56, the gate of the Wanderer, connecting his design South Node in gate 11. It completes the Channel of the Seeker, which is also where you find the talent for teaching. This placement symbolizes his ability to reach out and attract the alienated. Venus and Jupiter here will either mean he stimulates in a way that attracts support or is self defeating.
Mars, ruler of the 5th and 12th houses, is in Taurus in the 6th house applying to a square to his natal Mars in Leo. Mars falls in his natal 9th house applying to the Midheaven. Conflict with other countries and the judicial branch will be his primary work focus this year. Along with the possible health challenges that I mentioned earlier.
The New Moon in Gemini is on the 2/4 Cross of Eden as located in Washington D.C. People born on the Cross of Eden carry themes akin to being kicked out of paradise and searching for a way back in. You can see this theme play out again and again in Trump’s life with his various bankruptcies and his ascending and descending popularity.
Freedom 250 - UFC Fight: Topuria vs. Gaethje
Is it any surprise that the New Moon in Gemini on an Aries Degree just past the Sibley Mars features a UFC inspired celebration on the White House lawn? I wonder what my Gemini grandfather who had a career in the United States Air Force would think about this one.
The Gemini New Moon begins right after the main headliners take the stage during the first ever UFC fight held on the White House Lawn. This New Moon chart located in Washington D.C. perfectly symbolizes this fight with the undefeated champion Ilia Toporia's Sun right on the Ascendent and American and MAGA favorite Justin Gaethje's Sun right on the Midheaven.
Ilia is double Uranian with Uranus conjunct his Aquarius Sun. He just experienced his first Saturn return in March, which was on the Cross of Rulership, the cross I spoke about in my Uranus square the Nodes video. Ilia is a born fighter with Saturn in Aries on his South Node and Mars in Libra on his North Node.
Justin is more Plutonic, with a Sun and Mercury-Pluto conjunction in Scorpio. He will be experiencing his Pluto Square soon and he recently experienced a Nodal Return on the Cross of Tension.
Interesting to note that Justin is an Emotional Projector with a completely open Sacral Center and an undefined Root Center. People who have a completely open center simply take on the other person’s energy and mirror it back to them. Ilia connects Justin’s Sacral with the power of Pluto. Ilia also puts a lot of pressure on Justin’s undefined Root Center with two channels feeding into it, the Channel of Struggle and the Channel of Judgement.
Ilia, on the other hand, has a completely open Ego Center, while Justin's Ego Center is defined by the Community Channel. I laughed when Justin criticized Ilia’s ego in a recent interview, because it’s not Ilia who has something to prove. Ilia pushed back at him, basically saying that he didn’t need to talk smack when he can simply destroy Justin.
Even though Ilia is the undefeated champion and the betting odds only give Justin a 20% chance of winning this match, I’m guessing Justin’s White House advantage might play to his favor. Especially if he’s simply mirroring the power of Ilia’s Sacral energy back at him. However, Neptune, even though separating, is still uncomfortably close to Justin’s Mars. Neptune dissolves everything it touches and so it can weaken one's martial energy when it's nearby. This may be demonstrative of the heat in Washington D.C. on Sunday UFC fighters don’t normally fight outside and it’s supposed to be 90 degrees and muggy this weekend.
Gemini New Moon
For the rest of us, this Gemini New Moon is out-of-bounds, in the Sun Decan of Gemini on an Aries degree. There is a tendency to over-rationalize and think in black and white terms during this New Moon. The Moon’s ruler, Mercury in Cancer, adds an emotional element to the New Moon. It might lead you to make ultimatums, slam the door on a relationship, just so you can start something new.
Be careful about burning bridges unintentionally. Sometimes we are pushed to our breaking point and need to cut people off who’ve taken advantage of us. I’ll raise my hand as a person who has done this on multiple occasions throughout my life. My preference as I get older is to end things more consciously. If you are emotionally defined like me, sleep on it. Once you feel centered, then you can better communicate the ending in a way you won't regret.

Can I still do what I love while earning a living? For some people, this is a life long quest. Other people have an easier time earning money than others. Uranus is transiting my 8th house and the Nodes are in my 5th-11th house axis.

Just as E. Jean Carol released a documentary about her experience suing Trump, the Justice Department said it was investigating her for perjury. Trump’s appeal to the judgement of her case against him still sits with the Supreme Court. She has her Sun on Trump’s South Node and her Saturn on his North Node. She’s one of his Saturn-Venus women, the only one who has had the "balls" to go after him. It’s no wonder, since she has her Jupiter conjunct his Mars and a Mars-Uranus conjunction in her chart. He picked the wrong gal to fuck with all of those years ago 😄.
We don’t have her time of birth and she's a 3/6 profile with a noon birth time featured here. But if she were born a couple of hours later she’d be a 4/6 profile which sounds more like her life story. 4/6 profiles on the Cross of Rulership have themes around repression.

A New York Times profile of a recent documentary about E. Jean Carol’s experience, describes the film as examining this question of why she waited decades to come forward. It says she:
It makes a convincing case that she belongs to the “silent generation” – a cohort of women who were conditioned to endure the predatory behaviour of men with a shrug and a smile.
“I was born in 1943,” she explains in the film. “We are the chin-up, move-it-on, grin-and-bear-it generation. We didn’t complain. It would never occur to me. We actually smiled about it and moved on. That’s how we handled things.” - NY Times
And I don’t even think you have to go back that far. I was born in 1975, and I feel like my generation had a similar “tough-it-up” attitude. Maybe we wouldn’t go so far as to keep quiet about such a brutal assault, but we sure did keep quiet about a lot of things. Or we flipped the script and tried to play the power structures to our advantage. You see a lot of people demonizing others who aren't obedient, because those in power control the narrative. To distract from their own abuses of power, they'll pit one side against the other. Just like they are doing in our political system right now. How fucked up is that?
The article goes on to say:
Meeropol (the director) handles this (story) with empathy, showing how laughter served as a desperate shield. “She is unapologetic and so many women will recognise that in themselves,” she says via Zoom from her home in Cold Spring, New York. “Of course, you can try to laugh because it’s – ‘Wait a minute, what’s happening here? I don’t want this person to get angry.’ It makes perfect sense but it gets so warped by how we talk about these things.
She needs her time alone; she’s a writer; that’s what she loves to do. She likes to be in her cabin with her dogs, drinking her tea and writing or reporting. A lot of what she had to endure with the trials and all the publicity was very hard for her.” - NYT
That last quote convinced me that she was born with a Cancer Moon. If she were born earlier, she could have a Gemini Moon.
She has both Mercury and Mars out-of-bounds. Her natal Mars-Uranus conjunction in early Gemini trines her South Node in Aquarius and sextiles her North Node in Leo. This conjunction contributes to her acrobatic talent as a college cheerleader. It is also what makes her uniquely talented at the gonzo style journalism she helped popularize. Her Mercury, the ruler of Mars and Uranus, is in Capricorn, and in turn ruled by Saturn in Gemini. She is a master of her craft and extremely disciplined, juggling multiple projects while penning her “Ask E Jean” column for over 20 years. Her Mercury in Capricorn also contributes to her brutal frankness which is what made her such a popular advice columnist.
E. Jean Carrol & Donald Trump
E. Jean's Sun, ruler of her NN, is conjunct Trump’s South Node and here Saturn, traditional ruler of her South Node. is applying in retrograde motion to his Sun. She is delivering karma from his past.
In the time of #metoo, when Trump won the nomination the first time, she wrote an essay for the Cut, which she later turned into a book. In it she describes her hideous men list, 21 men altogether. It includes some powerful names, including Donald Trump.
He’s Saturn, the authority, one of the hideous men on her list who takes advantage of his power. Venus in Scorpio square to her Nodes, combined with Pluto, can includes themes of sexual violence, pushing her between her South Node and North Node. This experience is challenging for her because she’s so independent in every other way. It’s a place of shame for her, which contributes to the repression of these assaults.
Her Jupiter conjunct his Mars explains Trump’s rage over her lawsuits and why he can’t let her lawsuits go. But her nodal journey is playing out before us: she uses her Sagittarius courage to confront her abuser who has ultimate power.
She is a source of inspiration for many women at this time. May she inspire your courage to consciously face your demons, freeing yourself from this type of power-over, power-under bondage.
New Moon in Gemini: Mirrors
